On September 22, 1959, Mike Wallace, on his show "The Mike Wallace Interview," interviewed a prestigious three-time Emmy Award-winning television screenwriter: Rod Serling. The interview is focused on talking about censorship on television at the time.

Broadcasts in the United States began more or less regularly in 1951 and, being a very recent communication medium that was predestined to reach many people, it was closely watched for content, phrases and situations that could be "incorrect."

After a biographical introduction by the interviewer, Serling talks about censorship and some illogical situations that he has witnessed.

Midway through the interview, Mike Wallace asks Serling about his new project: "The Twilight Zone." Serling relates that it is a fantastic theme and far from social realities, which was apparently what the public demanded. Also that of the 18 scripts that he had written, he was totally responsible and there was no censorship on the part of the promoters.

They end up talking about whether it is going to be a successful product, Serling responding: the public will tell.

Las emisiones en Estados Unidos empezaron de forma más o menos regular en 1951 y al ser un medio de comunicación muy reciente y que estaba predestinado a llegar a mucha gente, era muy vigilado por los contenidos, frases y situaciones que pudieran ser "incorrectas".

Después de una introducción biográfica por parte del entrevistador, Serling habla sobre la censura y algunas situaciones ilógicas de las que ha sido testigo.

A la mitad de la entrevista, Mike Wallace le pregunta a Serling sobre su nuevo proyecto: "La Dimensión Desconocida". Serling relata que se trata de temática fantástica y lejana a las realidades sociales que era lo que aparentemente el público demandaba. También que de los 18 guiones que había escrito, él era responsable total y no había censura por parte de los promotores.

Terminan hablando de si va a ser un producto exitoso, respondiendo Serling: el público lo dirá.
