On our summer 2020 road trip, we stopped in at the Okanagan Valley for a two-day wine tasting trip! Home to around 180 licensed wineries, the big question comes up for any traveller – How to wine tour the Okanagan valley? Well, we did a lot of research from Osoyoos up to Kelowna and came up with a brilliant two-day road trip itinerary that allowed us to enjoy and not feel rushed.
In this video, we went to 9 wineries and show you how they ranked in terms of customer service and overall experience. Of course, we talked a little about the wines, but since everyone’s tastes are different, it’s so subjective. Instead, we focused on more objective things, and basically wanted to let you know if the winery was a MUST DO, or something to pass over. Lastly, we’ll show you our top MUST DO wineries. Make sure to watch until the end to see both of our choices!
On Day 1, we visited The Burrowing Owl, Phantom Creek, Oliver Twist, See Ya Later Ranch and Liquidity. On day 2, we visited Painted Rock, Heaven’s Gate, Fitzpatrtick, and Quail’s Gate. We learned a lot about wine-making in our trip from south to north and met some beautiful people (and animals) along the way! Definitely recommend staying in Penticton – as it is a center hub between the North and the South. We spend 3 nights – which was the PERFECT amount of time.
