Westmont College Warriors Men's Soccer at Orange County Great Park and Coach Dave Wolf Interview.

Westmont college is a special place... with a long heritage, national recognition for graduate success, significant sports accomplishments, a consistent soccer program... and in 2018, in an area of California that has faced massive challenges - from the Thomas Fire to the subsequent Montecito mudslides.

Yet in 2018, the school is blessed as Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) will host the 60th National Association of Collegiate Athletics (NAIA) Men's Soccer Finals.

GSAC is a tough conference and this video was recorded one day prior to Westmont Warriors visiting the dominant Vanguard Lions... that game was a big GSAC battle and footage will be posted on KGNOW soon.

Coach Dave Wolf has led with the Westmont Warriors soccer program for nearly 30 years, has achieved more than 300 wins and continues to push his team with his personal coaching style of "motivation through affirmation."

The video provides limited coverage of their day-before-game light workout, as the team visits the site of the upcoming NAIA Finals, Orange County Great Park (OCGP).

Coach Wolf provides keen insight into the school's special nature, the deep heritage and success of the Warriors' men's soccer program, and the special nature of resilience and the 2018 challenges across the region.

You can also see motivated Assistant Coach Johnny Whallon leading the team with instruction on wide play and supporting each other in ball movement, among other things.

Apologies to the Goalkeepers for not capturing their training as we anticipated a final shooting drill that did not emerge. Westmont has some special goalkeepers and this reporter expects them to show well in the current season.
