Rachel and Raymond’s wedding was a brilliant mix of two cultures, set against some of Edinburgh’s most iconic locations. They tied the knot in the City Chambers, surrounded by family and friends, before we headed out for a relaxed photoshoot. The Vennel gave us that classic Edinburgh Castle backdrop, Victoria Street added its colour and character, and we wandered a few lesser-known lanes for some quieter moments on film.

The pace changed completely with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony — calm, respectful, and full of meaning. It was a privilege to capture the small details: the gestures, the laughter, and the reactions from parents and grandparents. From there, it was on to Imperial Palace for a Chinese buffet that kept everyone talking, and then The Corn Exchange for a night of dancing and celebration.

For me, the mix of Scottish and Chinese traditions made the day so visually rich and full of variety — exactly the kind of wedding that’s a joy to film. If you’re planning something similar, or just want your day documented naturally and creatively, that’s exactly what I aim to deliver.
