How to overcome anxiety in sports. Pressure in youth sports.

Tom Scollay - better known as Scolls - is from Alice Springs, Australia.

He thought he’d hit the big time when he was selected to play professional First-Class cricket for English County Team Middlesex - who play at Lord’s the Home of Cricket in North London.

After spending 3 years playing against the world’s best cricketers at Middlesex, he was unexpectedly released from his contract.

On returning to Perth Australia - as he puts it, “devastated” - he set up to do some cricket coaching, which went from strength to strength.

However, he was determined not to be another “run of the mill” coach.

While analysing his own all-too-short professional cricketing career … he realised - although he had great cricketing technique - he lacked the necessary psychological skills to succeed.

He was determined - through his coaching - to help promising cricketers reach their full potential by being the mentor he never had himself.

So, his business Cricket Mentoring was born.

We talk about Emotional Intelligence for athletes, the six pillars of success, taking ego out of your coaching, the learning zone and the performance zone as well as recommended coaching courses.
