This video shows you how to connect two different subnets using the Cisco Packet Tracer simulator program with a Cisco Router.

The main purpose of routers is to connect LAN or WAN networks. If connecting to a WAN network, it uses routing protocols. It will not use a routing protocol if it will be directly connected to the network over the LAN. It performs routing for the LAN through its directly connected interfaces.

To connect two #networks with #Router:

Step 1: First, open the #PacketTracer program and add one Cisco Router, two Cisco Switches, and four computers to its workspace.

Step 4: Connect the PC0 and PC1 you added to Switch0. Connect the other PC2 and PC3 to Switch1.

Step 5: Connect both Switches to the Router's GigabitEthernet interfaces.

Step 6: Open the CLI command prompt of the Cisco Router and after adding an IP address and subnet mask for both networks to Gig0/0 and Gig0/1 interfaces, open the ports with the no shutdown command.

Step 7: When you test the network connection by pinging each other from the computers, you will see that the data transfer is done.
