Residents in Homa Bay County have been urged to seek therapy and counseling services to address the rising cases of mental health issues.According to the Lake Region Community Development Director Hellen Oromo, many counselling professionals are available across the country, but their services remain underutilized by locals. Oromo noted that mental health challenges are a contributing factor to cases of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in the region.
