Hikes in the smokies RANKED from worst to best:

10. Look Rock Tower — A 0.8 mile round trip hike to an observation tower on the Foothills Parkway. Although it does have stunning views, it feels more like a roadside attraction than an actual hike.

9. Grotto Falls — A moderate 2.6 mile hike to a stunning 30’ foot waterfall you can walk behind. It’s definitely worth seeing once but I wouldn’t go out of my way to see it again.

8. Laurel Falls (Closed) — A 2.4 mile round trip hike to an 80’ foot waterfall. This is a classic hike in the smokies. It is currently closed for a major rehabilitation project.

7. Spruce Flat Falls — A moderate 1.7 mile hike to a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole. This is a true hidden gem in the smokies.

6. Abrams Falls — A moderate 5 mile round trip hike to a gorgeous waterfall best known for its large volume of water that flows over the falls.

5. Ramsey Cascades — A challenging 8 mile round trip hike to a stunning cascading waterfall. It’s the hardest but most rewarding waterfall hike in the park.

4. Kuwohi — A moderate 1.3 mile round trip hike that features some of the best views in the park and is also the highest point in the smokies.

3. Mount Cammerer — An 11.1 mile round trip hike to a stunning fire lookout tower. It offers fewer crowds and stunning views.

2. Charlies Bunion — A moderate 8 mile round trip hike to a beautiful peak in the smokies. It’s definitely a must do hike when visiting the smokies.

1. Alum Cave Trail To Mount LeConte — An 11 mile round trip hike to the third tallest peak in the smokies. It’s definitely one of the most epic hikes in the park. 🏆
