CAVE DIVERS BAIL OUT TO SPARE AIR FROM 100 FT UNDERWATER

There has been ENDLESS debate about the value of Spare Air for Open Water divers out there. Many think that it's a gimmick, a total waste of money, and that it provides a false sense of security, others think that it's a great idea and can save lives, so we decided to do a real world test of both Spare Air sizes available in the market and settle this debate once and for all!

Instead of our regular Cave Diving gear and Rebreathers we are diving Open Circuit in a very popular Open Water Diver location in Central Florida, Blue Grotto Dive Resort in Williston, FL.

So what would happen if all of the sudden you realize you ran out of air at 100 feet and all you have is a Spare Air? Can you make it to the surface? How far can you make it before you are completely out of air?
