The »twister« is a storage solution and automatic tool dispensing system from ZOLLER, a global provider of manufacturing efficiency solutions including tool management hardware.

Compact and space-saving, the ZOLLER »twister« stores and outputs cutting tools, indexable insert packages, accessories and even maintenance, repair and operating materials and personal protective equipment (PPE).

The newest version of the »twister« replaces the coil push system with a lift-operated system. This upgrade — coupled with a large output compartment with impact protection — provides a gentler dispensing process that better protects the item.

The »twister« is available in two standard versions designed for most common applications. Depending on the version, the model can include up to eight levels and up to 10 adjustable product rows to accommodate an estimated 3,000 items.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the levels in the »twister« can be divided into product rows of different widths using small partition strips. The output motors in each row can be individually removed, if needed, to create very wide compartments. Optional guide rails that attach to the side walls are also available to further narrow the compartment for the smallest components.

With a direct interface to ZOLLER TMS Tool Management Solutions software, all components stored in the »twister« can be accessed digitally. Graphic 3-D displays of the storage locations in the software make inventory management a breeze.
