About Balaram Mullick and Radharaman Mullick

In 1880, Ganesh Chandra Mullick relocated from Konnagar to Kolkata, where he worked as a sweet maker (karigar) for three years. He then opened his own shop in Bhowanipore on a 450-square-foot plot provided by the renowned Harlalkar family. Ganesh Chandra's sweets quickly became popular, especially his korapak and nolen gur creations. His brother Balaram and his son Radharaman Mullick continued the tradition of sweet making.

From a modest store in Bhowanipore, they established a high standard for Bengal's sweet legacy, and today, their shops are spread across the city. Since 1960, Pradip Mullick has carried on this legacy. Recently, Sudip Mullick has incorporated world-class techniques and exotic ingredients into the ancient art of sweet making, making the brand synonymous with innovations in mishti. While their innovative and fusion sweets are popular, Balaram Mullick and Radharaman Mullick still maintain the traditional sandesh recipes that have defined their legacy.
