Pakistan is expected to announce a significant reduction in petroleum product prices for the first 15 days of December 2025. Industrial and government sources indicate that petrol may become cheaper by up to Rs. 3.70 per litre, bringing the price down from Rs. 265.45 to around Rs. 261.75 per litre. High-speed diesel could see a reduction of Rs. 4.28 per litre, while kerosene prices may drop slightly by Rs. 0.73 per litre. Light diesel oil is expected to receive the largest cut of Rs. 6.35 per litre. The anticipated relief is linked to increased global supply following the restoration of several units at Kuwait’s Al-Zour refinery, one of the largest refining complexes in the region.
