Menton is a must visit cute small town close to Nice. We traveled by train from Nice, it takes around 45 minutes. For one person the train ticket was around 13 euro

You'll see the french riviera on your right side when traveling to Menton, and it'll be on the left when coming back to Nice. You can sit anywhere in the train, so make sure to choose the appropriate side.
