‘Magic Circle with Illusionist Distiller’s Edition 2025’

This month is incredibly special, as I’ve been able to try out the Distiller’s Edition 2025 from Illusionist Gin. This is a very tantalising bottle, as the Illusionist Distillery have released a unique bottling each and every year for the past few years. As I showcase the fantastic drinks we’ve made with The Citrus Isle storied gin, I’m going to take a trip down memory lane and talk about the previous 3 years Distiller’s Editions across the next 3 posts.

That leads us nicely to 2022, when they Unveiled The Tundra with a limited release of 2345 bottles of greatness. This Nordic inspired blend is a true showcase of craftsmanship, as all of their unique bottlings are, an almost Alpine note underpins the botanical profile, with a floral lightness and almost sweetness on the finish. This is the earliest Distiller’s Edition I have tried, and it’s a welcome into the world of better gin.

Today’s drink, Magic Circle, would work great with the 2022 release but it has been designed for the stunningly delicate flavour profile of the 2025 release, the intense citrus body lifts the entire Gimlet inspired drink, and like 2022, there’s only 2345 bottles available, do you really want to miss out on getting your own?
