How The North American Professional Hockey Feeder System Works

Описание к видео How The North American Professional Hockey Feeder System Works

This video takes a look at the North American Professional Hockey Feeder System.

Hockey players go up and down from the NHL to the minors all the time, but how does this system work? There are 6 professional hockey leagues in North America that all fall on a ladder with skill levels from the FPHL, SPHL, ECHL, AHL, and NHL. There is also the LNAH. The Federal Prospects Hockey League is the lowest on that ladder, and the National Hockey League is the top. NHL teams will have affiliates or farm teams in the AHL and ECHL.

Have you heard of these leagues?

National Hockey League – Major Professional
American Hockey League – AAA Professional Hockey
East Coast Hockey League – AA Professional Hockey
Southern Professional Hockey League - A Professional Hockey
Federal Prospects Hockey League – A Professional Hockey
