Orchids Potted in Rocks Vs. Bark Experiment #1 - Lithophyte Laelia Orchids

Today we start the experiment involving the rupicolous Laelia orchids and place half of them in a mainly rock medium and half in an entirely organic medium!

Typically, growers keep these orchids in a rocky medium and claim they prefer it greatly to traditional bark and moss http://sonomaorchids.com/?page_id=2535

Along the years I discovered quite a few inconsistencies in articles and claims, even made by expert, so I learned my lesson and prefer to test things for myself, film and document my findings and hopefully, help eliminate inaccurate information.

In the end the reality of things is: Correlation doesn't imply causation!
