In the '70s and '80s in Romania, during a time of stifling restrictions on musicians, Rodion Ladislau Roșca formed a group called Rodion G.A. Using equipment that included Tesla reel-to-reel, cheap synthesizers, guitars and an East German Vermona drum machine, the group created a set of recordings that incorporate hard rock, prog, analog electronics and psychedelic sounds; all but a couple of which would go entirely unheard and unreleased until now. Nearing the first official Rodion G.A. album release on Strut, Rodion Roșca sits down with Ion Dumitrescu of Future Nuggets to discuss the creation of the group's incredible music. The Lost Tapes will be released on May 28th 2013 on Strut in association with Ambassador's Reception and Future Nuggets.
