नेपाल के भद्रपुर एयरपोर्ट पर बुद्ध एयर की फ्लाइट संख्या 901 काठमांडू से लैंडिंग के दौरान रनवे से फिसलकर करीब 200 मीटर दूर घास में जा रुकी। गनीमत रही कि पास बह रही नदी में गिरने से पहले ही विमान रुक गया। इसमें सवार सभी 51 यात्री और 4 चालक दल के सदस्य पूरी तरह सुरक्षित रहे।
पायलट कैप्टन शैलेश लिंबू की सूझबूझ से बड़ा हादसा टला। त्रिभुवन एयरपोर्ट प्रवक्ता और स्थानीय अधिकारी ने बताया कि विमान को मामूली नुकसान हुआ है और सभी यात्रियों को सुरक्षित बाहर निकाल लिया गया।
बुद्ध एयर ने तकनीकी कारणों की जांच के लिए विशेषज्ञ टीम भद्रपुर भेजी है। फिलहाल रनवे को साफ किया जा रहा है और विमान हटाया जा रहा है।
