Bad Fuel / Down on Power - Powermate Generator Sitting for Years

This generator was used for a few times when new then put away for 14 years with fuel in the tank. The prior owner noticed the problem after the fuel tank bushing failed and starting leaking the bad fuel onto the floor. Can the carburetor and fuel tank be saved? Will the generator run and make power?
