JOUSTING DRAMA at the Ohio Renaissance Festival 2023!

Come along with me to the 2023 Ohio Renaissance Festival. This Renfest annual event takes place every weekend beginning in August and running through October near Harveysburg in Warren County, Ohio. This ever changing event is always unique and never disappoints!

The Ohio Renaissance Festival first began in 1990 and the Renaissance Park encompasses a 30-acre permanent village. It hosts 100 plus shops and features 12 outdoor stages. The pretend 16th-century English village is named Willy Nilly-on-the-Wash! The name suits it since rainy weather can lead to a muddy experience. Appropriate foot gear is something to plan for! The festival highlights performances by period costumed performers set on stages and in the streets. Some of my favorite shows included seeing the Queen and her entourage, the theatre in the Ground, real life jousting and Falconry! The Festival also has great food options ranging from giant turkey legs to EXCELLENT fish and chips.

During our visit, we experience Fantasy Weekend and marvel at elves, fairies and mushroom costumed guests! The magical mood was contagious and it was one of the best experience I’ve ever had attending the Ohio Renaissance Festival! https://www.renfestival.com/
