Part 1 DJ'ing for Beginners with DJ Bolivia

Описание к видео Part 1 DJ'ing for Beginners with DJ Bolivia

This is the first part of a four-part series that I've wanted to do for years, to give beginner DJ's an overview of the industry. In this section, I talk about my own experiences within the industry, reasons why you'd want to be a DJ, different career paths (mobile, festivals, club resident, radio, etc), different ways to perform, the pros and cons of vinyl vs CD vs digital, some basic beat-mixing and turntablism background, and more.

Here's the link to the blog post which describes this particular video within the DJ'ing for Beginners series. More importantly, for mobile users, it also includes links to all the other videos that I mentioned:

Unfortunately, as of early 2014, YouTube annotations are not visible to mobile viewers, only to users watching on desktop browsers. I use annotations quite frequently to post clarifications and additional information during the video. For the best educational experience, you might prefer to watch this video in a desktop browser rather than on mobile, unless YouTube eventually fixes the mobile annotation deficiency.

If you like the sound of any of the tracks played during the breaks between sections, I've got all of them available as free downloads. Go to SoundCloud and do a search for: "dj bolivia global underground"

On a side note, I get a lot of requests from people who want me to review their DJ mixes. Unfortunately, I am extremely busy. I'm already turning down paid projects, and I don't have time to review mixes. I wish it was otherwise.
