Day 8 w/this group of Southern Resident orcas: Js, K13s, & L87 (salmon eating type). Baby J56 agile and sleek, the pitter-patter of young one running with a passionate voice so sweet.
In the golden light that falls between afternoon and sundown, many humans gathered along the shore to watch these lovelies move up Puget Sound. My heart swells especially large when young orcas and excited young people are in proximity to one another. Heart happy to be in the presence of both youngsters. Filmed primarily from Kayu Kayu Ac Park in Shoreline with last clip being from Edmonds Marina Park just to the north
