Basic idea of DIY Nib Polishing & Smoothing. (text narration only, no voice over)

In this video, I'm going to demonstrate the Basic idea of nib polishing & smoothing. Nib polishing, if done correctly, can improve the writing smoothness and fix a scratchy nib.

Reminder: Always, ALWAYS check for tine alignment first before trying nib polishing, as tine alignment issue is the most common cause for a scratchy nib.

Step 1: Test the nib on a familiar paper, remembers how the nib feels
Step 2: Start polishing on a coarser polishing material
Step 3: Gradually change to finer polishing material
Step 4: End the polishing with the finese polishing material. Test the nib and see how the nib feels now.
