Mitsubishi Outlander break-in oil change and magnetic drain plug installation

In this video, I perform preventative maintenance on a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander. The car just reached break-in period of 1,000 miles, so the factory oil was drained and inspected for metal shavings and debris from the break-in process. Also, the original oil filter was cut open and filter media was inspected for metal debris. Then, a Greddy magnetic oil drain plug was installed. The engine was filled with Kirkland Full Synthetic 0W-20 oil.
I anticipate the next oil change in 5,000 miles (despite the factory recommended interval of 7,500 miles), so the Outlander will have 6,000 miles on the odometer. The tires will be rotated at that time and brake components will be cleaned, inspected and slider pins lubricated if necessary. Stay tuned for more videos on this Outlander. Thanks for watching!
