Freediving Coron 2017 | Philippines | GoPro

A chilled day freediving and exploring various dive sites and beaches around Coron, Philippines. Locations include Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, Twin Lagoon, Siete Pecasos & Banol Beach. These 5 sites were done on a day trip around Coron and are good for freediving and snorkeling.

Siete Pecados is a Marine Reserve a short ride from Coron Town, which boasts an abundance of fish life and spectacular corals. It is situated around a couple of small rock peninsulars an, with the corals ranges from a few meters down to 20m plus.

Barracuda and Kayangan Lakes are two lakes on the Island of Coron which has dramatic underwater rock formations, encircled by steep cliffs. The lakes have a sharp thermocline at around 15m depth where the water rises abruptly in temperature.

Twin Lagoon has a small swim through a rock formation into an enclosed lagoon. The visibility in the water is very distorted too look at.

Finally Banol Beach is a beautiful beach located on the north coast of Coron Island, and a great spot for lunch in between freediving and snorkeling.
