Important Changes coming in 2025 highlight

We are writing to inform you of a significant change in the HVAC industry that will affect all homeowners and businesses in the coming year. As of January 1, 2025, the widely used R-410A refrigerant will be phased out and replaced with the new R-454B refrigerant. This change is part of an industry-wide effort to adopt more environmentally friendly refrigerants.
What This Means for You:
1. Phase-Out of R-410A Refrigerant:
o Starting in 2025, manufacturers will no longer produce new HVAC units that use R-410A refrigerant.
o Existing R-410A units will still be serviceable, but the availability of R-410A will diminish over time, leading to increased costs for servicing older units.
2. Introduction of R-454B Refrigerant:
o R-454B is a more sustainable refrigerant with a lower global warming potential.
o New HVAC systems will be designed to operate with R-454B, offering improved efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
