What does "Fit for 55" mean? - An honest conversation with Silvia Modig on greenwashing and more

Imagine you are on a boat on the high seas. The boat starts to leak, water is visibly coming in at an ever-increasing rate. How do you react? Do you start bucketing the water out as quickly as possible, or do you announce that the burden is too much for you right now and wait for someone else to solve the situation?

The so-called Fit for 55 package is supposed to be Europe's roadmap for a climate-neutral economy. However, doubts prevail about whether the end result will deliver on much-needed radical climate action in the EU. Can the package end Europe’s over-reliance on fossil fuels?
Is it just another exercise in greenwashing? And what went down in today’s vote here in the European Parliament in Strasbourg?
