Friday Nov. 1st 2013 was dubbed "Dorothy Dietrich Day" in Scranton, PA by officials and Dorothy performed some magic for an intimate crowd at The Ritz theater where Harry Houdini had once performed. She is known as "The first lady of magic" and best known for performing magic's most dangerous trick "The Bullet Catch" that Houdini himself backed away from. Here she is performing the straight jacket escape. If you haven't visited it check out her place The Houdini museum in Scranton. It is the only one of it's kind and filled with historical items.
