In this Gear4music demo we take a look at the Yamaha YSV104 Silent Violin in Wine Red.

The Yamaha YSV104 Silent Violin offers the same functional design as previous models, along with a natural tone and ideal resonance for practice. The YSV104 violin is the first silent violin to feature Yamaha's SRT powered system, resulting in a natural response, body resonance and an acoustic sound quality.

The YSV104 has a spruce body and features a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, offering an authentic feel. The maple bridge of the Yamaha silent violin comes with a built-in pickup, while the synthetic resin tailpiece is equipped with fine tuners. The mechanisms which affect the posture and feel of the violin are in the same place on the body as on an acoustic model meaning an easy transition between models.

The silent violin offers two sound types - room, which brings a clear tone with short reverb and is ideal for practice, and hall, which is capable of producing soft tones with medium reverb.

The YSV104 is suitable for the professional player and comes with earphones, cables and a control box.
