Moodle's authentication methods can be very frustrating for users. I guess that's the only bad side to the platform. Moodle has a great security feature that minimizes spammers and hackers, but at the expensive of the students who has to go verify his or her email when creating a new account. That often becomes very frustrating. There's no way around the verification process unless you want to compromise your site.
