Performed at Perth Concert Hall in 2018 with the Grimethorpe Colliery Band, this is the beautiful ballad You've Got a Friend, written by Carole King and covered by the wonderful James Taylor.

It was particularly great to play in the wonderful Perth Concert Hall, as the acoustics were designed by my former boss at BDP (Building Design Partnership), the fabulous Duncan Templeton, along with lead architect Bruce Kennedy (himself a talented pianist!). The hall and acoustics are just superb and a real delight to play in.

This fantastic arrangement is by Sandy Smith, one of the world's finest tenor horn players who is himself a former solo horn with Grimethorpe - he certainly knows how to write for the instrument! Here he is conducting the Grimethorpe Colliery Band. You can buy Sandy's excellent arrangement here:
