Habitat for Humanity- our story/ home tour

I am a single mother of 4 who worked sometimes 2 jobs trying to keep a roof over our head. Renting year to year can bring such a sense of instability to a family. Finally becoming a homeowner we are learning how to garden and become self sufficient in so many ways.
I think some people have the misconception that because you are in a habitat home you are poor. The fact is while you may be in a lower income bracket, however if your mindset is to grow and give your children a brighter future, you can ascend out of that bracket.

Each habitat families story is unique so this is just our experience with Habitat for Humanity. This organization has changed our lives and we are forever grateful. If you have any questions about how to donate, volunteer, or get involved call your local chapter.
