Brick Spalling - The Icy Heart of Darkness - caught on camera.

Last year I released a short video about the effects of brick spalling arising from water ingress. When that moisture freezes, the resultant expansion 'blows' the brick face off.

In this video I capture some footage of an actual "ice core" in a saturated frozen brick. This brick has literally just blown it's face off within the last few hours, and the culprit is caught on film, red handed.
