Samuel Morris, also known as Prince Kaboo, was a remarkable figure in American history. Born in West Africa in the mid-19th century, Morris was captured by a rival tribe and sold into slavery at the age of 16. He was transported to the United States and sold to a slave owner in Alabama, where he was forced to work on a plantation.

Despite the difficult circumstances of his life, Morris never lost his faith in God. He had been exposed to Christianity in Africa and was eager to learn more about it. One day, he heard a group of Christian missionaries singing hymns and preaching the gospel, and he was immediately drawn to their message.

Morris was eventually able to escape from slavery with the help of a sympathetic neighbor and made his way to Philadelphia, where he met a Quaker merchant named Charles F. Fisher. Fisher was impressed by Morris's intelligence and his faith, and he agreed to help him get an education.

Morris proved to be an excellent student and quickly learned to speak English fluently. He also became deeply involved in the Christian community and began preaching and teaching others about his faith. He was particularly interested in evangelizing to other African Americans and sharing the message of Christ's love with them.

In 1885, Morris traveled to Taylor University in Indiana to continue his education. While there, he became seriously ill and was diagnosed with tuberculosis. Despite his illness, Morris continued to share his faith with others and was a powerful witness to those around him.

Morris's life was cut short by his illness, and he died at the age of 20. However, his legacy lived on, and his story inspired countless others to embrace their faith and to work towards freedom and justice for all people. Today, he is remembered as a courageous and faithful servant of God, who overcame incredible obstacles to share the message of hope and salvation with those around him.
