Maybe they’re right
We really do need to keep each other safe
I just don’t see how wearing a mask to help stop the spread of the corona virus....could be bad

Cause of Covid-19
How many more livestream Zooms will I see?
Wouldn’t you think it’s not hard
Just to self isolate?

I cleaned my stove
Organized all my clothes
How many projects can keep me afloat
Lookin at my watchlist you’d think
Sure, she’s binged everything

I’ve got Netflix and Hulu and Amazon
I've got YouTube and Apple TV
You want Disney Plus?
I’ve got a password!
But whatevs
No big deal
I’m so bored

I wanna be where the people aren’t
I wanna go out and see all my friends
Wanna meet up at a...what’s it called again...oh right, “BAR”

But staying at home is important
Social distancing is required to flatten the curve
People who refuse to wear masks are total JERKS!!!!

But who would we hug?
Where would we fly?
If a pandemic virus wasn’t threatening our lives?
We’re in quarantine
But someday we won’t be
If you just wear a mask

Oh what would I give
If I could leave this apartment
Oh what would I pay
To go on a vacay or to a Broadway show

Oh betcha New Zealand
They’re skilled in dealin'
Bet they don’t resist common sense

Listening to science
With no deviance
Schools opening again

And ready to know what the government knows
Ask em my questions and get some f*&%ing answers like:

What are freelancers supposed to do if this cancels work for millions of people who will then be unable to pay for their rent or basic needs forcing a whopping percentage of the country to be evicted without any jobs or hope or anything for the future???!!!

Covid-19!
