Turku, known as Åbo in Swedish, is a city in southwestern Finland. It is the oldest city in the country, founded in the late 13th century, and served as Finland’s capital until 1812. Turku is located at the mouth of the Aura River and is a significant cultural and economic hub2.

With a population of around 202,000, Turku is the sixth largest city in Finland. It is known for its rich history, vibrant cultural scene, and beautiful archipelago. The city hosts numerous events, including the annual Medieval Market and the Tall Ships Races.
