How To Do Tidal Calculations for European Secondary Ports

Описание к видео How To Do Tidal Calculations for European Secondary Ports

How to do Tidal Calculations for European Secondary Ports using the Nautical / Admiralty Tide Tables.

Ask any questions in the comments - I'll do my best to answer them.

This video uses an example of Stranraer, Scotland to demonstrate the method and calculations involved to work out the height of tide on a given day and time. While the example is intended to be simple the basics covered here are sufficient to allow you to do any European Secondary Port tidal question in the SQA Examination papers or at sea.

NOTE: Due to the cost of actual Tide Tables this example makes use of data from my time studying for my chief mates examination - while the data may be presented in a different format the methods used are the same. This method is also suitable for those planning on doing the RYA courses.
