KAWEKA LAKES - BROWN TROUT HEAVEN | FLY FISHING NEW ZEALAND | AARON TROUT FISHING

The Kaweka Lakes in the Kaweka forest park district is such a beautiful place. When you are there on the right day it just looks absolutely stunning and then you start to hear splashes. Eventually you see in front of you these little to medium size brown trout doing aerial acrobatics out of the water to snatch food out of mid air.
I don't know anyone that would call themselves a master of these lakes as you can go up there many times and not catch a single fish and if you hook one you still have to keep it on till you net it.
For those that perservere you a greatly rewarded by an up close look at a beautiful loch leven brown trout.
