Описание к видео Manta Family Launch Coaster On-Ride Back Row Hyperview POV surprise, SeaWorld San Diego (12/31/2023)

5th and Last visit to SeaWorld San Diego and once again didn't rope drop in a similar situation of the last 2 days, going with my Family and at least I get to experience the park until it closes at 9 PM during a New Year's Eve. The other Family Coaster that already opened 11 years prior to Arctic Rescue, but what elements I like better are a few airtime pops and a 2nd half with the most aggressive turn before the helix/horizontal loop. There may not be Merry Manta this year but since they just fixed the Preshow tunnel screens and basically made the immersion brighter to look like being restored, Surprise Christmas Holiday related art appears and disappears if dissolved. It contains the following: The left side with Green wreaths, a sign with a candle looking support saying "Happy Holidays from SeaWorld," quad of Crabs wearing Santa Hats, the treasure chest full of presents & candy canes, and a Sand Snowman with sea stars for its buttons holding a bell with one of the stick arms. The right side on the other hand contains another quad of Santa hat wearing crabs, a clam with a red wrapped green gift, coral Christmas Tree with sea stars as ornaments, two other corals that look like Hannukah candles, a sand castle with holiday lights & bowed ring, and more wreaths behind. A Hyperview feature to try out since I didn't get a chance to snag those in the last 2 visits. Overall for these arts, quite a surprise when I first saw them while riding with my cousin in Row 2 and I guess a Small makeup from not having an overlay Merry Manta and neither does the scenery makeover, there should be some modifications to benefit Merry Manta in some way including new animation or art especially with Manta Re-Charged or Manta Madness. Anyways, enjoy these extra POV clips to provide exclusively on this YouTube channel, until further notice.

History
Rumors about a new roller coaster for SeaWorld San Diego date back to mid October 2007 when details of a possible 2010 project were leaked. This plan was canceled in mid-2008. In early January 2011, construction documents were discovered which detailed the plans for a $10 million manta ray-themed ride and animal exhibit due to open in 2012. On February 9, 2011, SeaWorld San Diego announced that they would be opening a Mack launched roller coaster called Manta in 2012.

In late 2018, SeaWorld San Diego premiered a Christmas overlay of the attraction called Merry Manta. The first launch area would feature holiday music and dynamic lightning that created three different shows. Riders would also twist through a sea of glowing Christmas trees while the cool holiday air rushed by.

Ride
Manta features two launches. Riders reach speeds of up to 43 miles per hour (69 km/h) on the two-minute, 2,800-foot (850 m) long ride. The ride stands at a height of 30 feet (9.1 m) and features a drop including an underground portion of 54 feet (16 m). The limited height was required due to height restrictions in place by the California Coastal Commission.

Trains
Manta's four trains each feature manta ray shaped fronts. The 5-car trains each seat riders 2 across in 2 rows for a total of 20 riders per train. There is also elevated seating for the second row of each car.

Media
Manta begins with a 270 degree projected media experience at the first launch. The train rocks forward and backward in synchronization with the projected film of a coral reef and school of rays. The media tunnel and film was produced by Falcon's Treehouse.
