Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 – Release Date, Plot, and What to Expect from the Finale

The second season of Delicious in Dungeon has been officially confirmed! Just a few days after the finale of Season 1, Studio Trigger announced the continuation in June 2024, along with a short but exciting promotional video (PV) that gave fans a taste of what’s to come.

The PV highlights some of the most iconic monster meals prepared by Laios and his party, showcasing the anime's unique blend of fantasy adventure and gourmet cooking. But the big moment comes at the end, teasing the return of the Lunatic Magician, now leading a terrifying army of dungeon monsters and setting up a much darker and more intense storyline for Season 2.

Season 2 will dive deep into Laios and his team’s mission to rescue Falin, who is still trapped in the body of a chimera under the control of the magician. With new enemies and allies appearing on the lower levels of the dungeon, the stakes will rise as the group faces their toughest challenges yet.

With the manga already completed at 97 chapters, and the first season adapting up to chapter 52 across 24 episodes, it's highly likely that Season 2 will feature another 20+ episodes, fully adapting the rest of the story and delivering a faithful and satisfying ending to fans of the series.

As for the release date, if the production timeline is similar to the first season — which was announced in August 2022 and premiered in January 2024 — we can expect Season 2 to be released in early 2026.
