Today I make Dilly beans and dewberry jam! I show you the entire process from the recipes, to water bath canning. For your reference here are the recipes. I'll add them to my cookbook once I get the time!

Dewberry Jam Recipe

Makes 2 half pints

1 cup berries
1 cup sugar
1/4 (1.75 oz.) box Sure Jell Pectin (comes out to 1 big heaping Tbsp.)

Place berries in saucepan and mush up a bit. Add pectin. Stir. Bring to a boil on high heat while stirring. Add sugar and stir. Return to boil and boil 1 minute while stirring. Remove from heat. Skim foam if any. Ladle into jars.

Water bath 10 min.

Dilly Beans Recipe

Makes 2 pints

1 lb. Green beans
2 tbsp. Non iodized salt
1 1/4 cup vinegar
1 1/4 cup water
2 garlic cloves divided
1/2 tsp cayenne divided
4 tsp. dill seed

Put vinegar, water, salt into pan, stir. Bring to boil. Reduce to simmer for 10 min.

Trim ends, remove string. Pack green beans into jars. Add 2 tsp. Dill, 1/4 tsp. Cayenne, and 1 clove garlic to each jar. Add brine to jars.

Water bath 10 min.
