This is the ancient church of Cockpen, in the old Dalwolsey estate, Ramsay lands

It was originally built in the 13th century and there are burial grounds around it.

One of the Ramsay also fought on King Robert the Bruce’s side when victorious at Bannockburn in 1314.

It is a beautiful old church with many additions over the centuries which now stands ruinous and engulfed in nature.
