Timothy Good, ACE, is a film editor, producer, director and educator. He recently finished editing the majority of episodes of HBO’s hit series "The Last of Us", including the pilot, the finale and the fan favorite episode 3, featuring the love story between Bill and Frank.

Good has edited a wide variety of TV series including "The Umbrella Academy," "The Resident," "Fringe," "The O.C.'' and the original "Gossip Girl,"his first pilot. He also co-edited the feature film "Dead Man Down" directed by Niels Arden Oplev ("The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'') which led to a series of collaborations with the Danish director including the Stephen King adaptation of "Under the Dome." In addition, he was an editor for Oscar winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black’s LGBTQ+ miniseries "When We Rise."

Good is a visiting lecturer at the UCLA Graduate School for Film and Television and has taught creative editing to directors and cinematographers for 15 years. He is a big believer in mentorship, and all of his past assistant editors have gone on to become editors in their own right, including Emily Mendez, his current co-editor on "The Last of Us".

He hails from Oak Park, Illinois, the location of many Frank Lloyd Wright homes which inspired him to build models as a child leading to a career in building film and television stories. Good attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he studied radio, film and television.

Emily Mendez grew up near Fort Worth, Texas, where she spent most of her childhood creating family videos with her siblings. After graduating as a film major from TCU, she made her way to Los Angeles where she received her masters degree in film editing at the American Film Institute. It was at AFI that she was lucky enough to study under many talented editors, including Donn Cambern, ACE, and Farrell Levy, ACE, who encouraged her interest in visual storytelling to bloom. This mentorship led to Emily’s eventual entrance into television, where she has worked on the editorial teams for "The Umbrella Academy," "The Resident,"" Light as a Feather," "Rosewood," and most recently "The Last of Us". During "The Last of Us", Emily was given the opportunity to rise from assistant editor to co-editor alongside Timothy Good, ACE, for four episodes. Her partnership with Tim has allowed Emily’s understanding of editorial architecture and design to flourish.
