In my years of working for The jazz channel, I was able to share with a group of industry professional people and also countless major music stars.
This was and is certainly an unforgettable experience. But above all, the best school in the professional aspect, specially in my personal life.

If anecdotes tell all there, I sure would one of the interesting books on the histories of most contemporary artists who passed around. One of them is Terry Steele, the singer of the American/Japanese band Hiroshima.

In 1999, during our annual coverage of the Saint Lucia Jazz Festival, Among jazz concerts, drinks and beach on the island bearing the same name. After a beautiful weekend. Terry forgetting that the Caribbean has a climate which he was not accustomed to, and after having sung for two days in a row at the festival, was seriously affected by a bad cold which caused him acute laryngitis, for its almost loses his voice. Although it was more difficult to forget that upon returning to the United States, that morning the group Hiroshima would have to record an special show for The Jazz Channel.

I remember that morning during the sound check for the show, his voice could barely whisper. Though concerned about his state always saw him meditating and never embarrassed about the commitment that approached him.

Recalling that for my years of experiences as a singer and having gone through the same circumstances, I suggested to the manager of the group to provide him with a dose of aspirin, salt, lemon and hot water to see if the time to start the show and his voice will clarify. In fact, he really incredible results compared to its previous state. Very little noticeable Terry Steele finished his show with Hiroshima.

Eight years later in 2007. I met him at the Brian Culbertson's Jazz Cruise and reminded him about that time. To what he replied: That although paradoxically the remedy made its positive effects. What more corroborate what his years of experience, skill and singing school he had during his apprenticeship. The hours of meditation before each sung and brain communication with the body.
