Queued Up:Characteristics of Power Plants Seeking Transmission Interconnection As of the End of 2023

Описание к видео Queued Up:Characteristics of Power Plants Seeking Transmission Interconnection As of the End of 2023

Proposed large-scale electric generation and storage projects must apply for interconnection to the transmission system via interconnection queues. As of the end of 2023, nearly 2,600 gigawatts (GW) of generation and storage capacity were actively seeking grid interconnection - more than twice the installed capacity of all U.S. power plants today. Although many projects that apply for interconnection will not ultimately be built, data from these queues provide a general indicator for trends in power sector activity and developer interest. In this webinar, authors will present the latest findings from Berkeley Lab's annual "Queued Up" report, which analyzes interconnection queue data from 7 ISO/RTOs and 44 non-ISO utilities.
