MANILA -- The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) submitted on Monday to the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) the results of its technical validation on alleged ghost flood control projects in the country.

A total of 95 boxes of documents were unloaded from the PNP-Logistics Support Service truck at the ICI headquarters in Taguig, containing validation reports from different flood control projects from Regions I to IX.

Based on labels from the unloaded boxes, validation reports include those from flood mitigation structure in Barangay Pasonanca in Zamboanga City under St. Timothy Construction and Alpha & Omega Gen. Contractor & Development Corporation.

Both firms are linked to the controversial Discaya couple.

Some boxes of documents also submitted to the ICI were for the flood control for the urban and central District of Zamboanga City, including a pumping station at Veterans Avenue in Zamboanga City, which details the contracts of Sunwest Inc. -- a company linked to former Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Zaldy Co.

Hours after the PNP-CIDG's submission, ICI Executive Director Brian Hosaka confirmed to the media the receipt of the 95 boxes.

He also confirmed that several piecis evidence are connected to the 28 alleged ghost flood control projects in the country.
