OBAMAS ON HOLIDAY
US President Barack Obama took his daughters for a Hawaiian ice cream treat on New Year''s day, ordering a flavour combination named after him.
Obama and a posse of about 20 people took a motorcade on Friday to the same shave ice stand he has visited during other trips to Hawaii.
As in past trips, he asked for a pile of ice shavings flavored with lemon-lime, cherry and passion-guava syrups. The store calls the combination the "Snowbama".
About 100 people packed into a shopping centre car park to catch a glimpse of the vacationing president and his daughters.
The store, Island Snow, said on its Facebook page that the first daughters had already visited the store during their holiday.
