Parasocial Relationships & Fan Culture in Music

Boundaries need to be established on the parasocial relationships between fans and artists. Toxic fan culture is killing the music space. The industry and just the fanbases themselves, which in turn is wreaking havoc in all sectors of music. We as listeners are not entitled to anything from artists and in that same line, they arent entitled to anything from their fan bases HOWEVER there is a relationship there that I don't think has been properly defined enough for everyone in our current culture.

I had a more fun video planned for this week, but honestly, I couldn't stop thinking about this whole event and how traumatic it was for everyone involved. The first-hand accounts are horrifying, and to know that it was in part caused by the selfishness of fans who idolized that dude to the point of taking out the people in front of them with no regard or remorse. I, and everyone in the music community, need to actively re-evaluate in the wake of this tragedy.
