The Australian’s Environment Editor Graham Lloyd says there’s no prospect that Eraring Power Station can be “allowed to close” next year.

Mr Lloyd told Sky News host Peta Credlin that the government is “really on the hook” to keep it going in some way.

“The energy companies that own the coal facilities, they also own the renewable energy projects and other things.

“And they make a lot of money out of chaos in the system.”

Mr Lloyd joined Sky News host Peta Credlin to discuss the potential closure of Eraring Power Station.
