Make A Picture Frame ... From a junk TABLE ?

Scrap Wood project, using a trash table salvaged from the side of the road.

In this video I salvage a solid maple table top, cut useable wood out of the curved edges, mess up a cut but that's okay as I had a spare piece, do some sketchy rabbeting with a dado blade, learn that stain does not penetrate maple very well, and have fun in the shop making a memory of our recent cruise.

I picked up this table top off the side of the road some months ago because it appeared to be solid maple. Need I say more?

The large central part of the table top is basically rectangular planks, so those are easy to find a use for. But for what should I use the wood near the curved ends of the table?

I decided to cut out some pieces for a small picture frame. This would le me make use of some wood that would otherwise be a challenge to find a use for.
